Section 1 - General Information
The medals and rewards listed below are how the United States Air Force recognizes the work and dedication of our service members and civilians. These rewards are to celebrate the achievements and highlights of a member's career and can only be issued by those listed under the Issuing Authority section. Personnel are encouraged to display their rewards in their forum signatures using the correct layout in order of precedence, the table below has all medals in that order.

CSAF |
Medal of Honor The Medal of Honor is the highest military award and is awarded in the name of the United States Congress. This medal is for service members who distinguish themselves through conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity beyond the call of duty. |

Air Force Cross The Air Force Cross is awarded for extraordinary heroism to any service member while engaged in actions against an enemy of the United States. |

SLC |
Distinguished Service Medal The Distinguished Service Medal is awarded to those who distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious service to the government in a duty of great responsibility, in combat or otherwise. |

CSAF, DSF |
Silver Star The Silver Star is awarded to any person who, while serving in any capacity, is cited for gallantry in action against an enemy while engaged in military operations involving conflict with an opposing foreign force. |

SLC |
Airman's Medal The Airman's Medal is awarded to any personnel who has distinguished themselves as an exceptional leader and has helped shape the direction of the United States Air Force, either through exceptional service or performing exceptionally in a position of significant responsibility. |

Legion of Merit The Legion of Merit is awarded to personnel who have distinguished themselves by exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services. |

Bronze Star The Bronze Star is awarded to personnel who, while serving in any capacity distinguished themselves by heroic or meritorious achievement or service |

Purple Heart The Purple Heart is awarded to any personnel wounded in action whilst serving in the line of duty. |

Meritorious Service Medal The Meritorious Service Medal is awarded to any personnel who distinguishes themselves by either outstanding achievement or meritorious service |

Air and Space Commendation Medal The Air and Space Commendation Medal is awarded to any personnel who have distinguished themselves by meritorious achievement and service. The degree of merit must be distinctive, though it need not be unique. |

Air and Space Achievement Medal The Air and Space Achievement Medal is awarded to any personnel for outstanding achievement or meritorious service. |

Joint Meritorious Unit Award The Joint Meritorious Unit Award is awarded to any personnel for joint activities for meritorious achievement or service, superior to that which is normally expected. |

Good Conduct Medal The Good Conduct Medal is awarded to any personnel for exemplary conduct during a three-month period of active military service. |

Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal The Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal is awarded to personnel at the discretion of the Top Foreign Delegate for their contributions towards expeditions on the group floor. |

Global War on Terrorism Service Medal The Global War on Terrorism Service Medal is awarded to all active duty personnel serving during a time of active combat against an enemy. |

Air Force Longevity Service Award The Air Force Longevity Service Award is awarded to all personnel for 3 months of service on active duty as tracked by the Personnel Tracking System. |

CO Academic Excellence Medal (COAEM) The Commissioned Officer Medal for Exceptional Academic Performance is awarded upon successful completion of the Officer Leadership Course to those candidates who perform extraordinarily well (75%) in their first attempt at the Course's exam. |

WO Academic Excellence Medal (WOAEM) The Warrant Officer Medal for Exceptional Academic Performance is awarded upon successful completion of the Warrant Officer Advancement Course to those candidates who perform extraordinarily well (80%) in their first attempt at the Course's exam. |

SNCO Academic Excellence Medal (SNCOAEM) The Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Medal for Exceptional Academic Performance is awarded upon successful completion of the Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Advancement Course to those candidates who perform extraordinarily well (100%) in their first attempt at the Course's exam. |
