CHAPTER 1 - GENERAL INFORMATION

Section 1 - Regulation Enforcement

Personnel are expected and required to follow this regulation in full when conducting official business as part of their USAF duties as well as in all official USAF rooms owned by the Dept.Defense account.

The only exemptions from following this policy are when alternations are authorized in accordance with Chapter 1 Section 2 of their regulation.

Section 2 - Alterations

Temporary alterations to the official uniform are able to be authorized by Officers, members of the Air Staff (AS), and Senior Leadership Command (SLC), these exemptions are known among personnel as “Crazy Hours” which are usually focused around a certain portion of the uniform.

Types of Crazy Hours by group:

  • Officers may only permit different facial accessories, for example, glasses or hats.

  • AS may permit entire category changes, for example, torso or pants.

  • SLC may permit multiple categories and permit Non-Uniform hours.


The Director of Public Affairs (DPA) is authorized to approve the use of ceremonial uniforms on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Air Force (CSAF) for times when ongoing events require them.


Section 3 - Color Guide

The color guide will help personnel identify the various colors utilized by the United States  Air Force's uniform regulations.

 

 

CHAPTER 2 - GROOMING STANDARDS

Section 1 - Skin Tones

All skin tones that are accompanied by a red “X” over them are not authorized for use by any person in the United States Air Force.

 

 

Section 2 - Hair Styling

The United States Air Force does not maintain a list of approved hair styles due to Habbo's growing list of releases and the trust in the judgment of our personnel. 

 

Hairstyles are authorized in any color and must meet the following guidelines:

  • Hairstyles must be neat and tidy

  • Eyes should be clearly visible

  • Hair should not be below the collar of the neck

  • For female presenting personnel, they may wear a hairstyle with a ponytail past their shoulders as long as it follows the rest of the previous guidelines.

 

Section 3 - Eyewear

Only the eyewear pictured below are authorized to be worn by USAF personnel as part of the uniform. Eyewear may be of any color.

 

*The eyepatch can only be worn by personnel with {5} as their TT stack.

 

Section 4 - Facial Hair

Only the facial hair pictured below are authorized to be worn by male personnel. Female personnel are not authorized to have facial hair. These styles are approved in any color as with hairstyles.

 

 

Section 5 - Face Accessories

Only the accessories pictured below are authorized to be worn by USAF personnel as part of the uniform. Accessories may be of any color.

 

 

CHAPTER 3 - OFFICIAL UNIFORMS

Section 1 - Basic Combat Uniforms

The Basic Combat Uniform (BCU) and Alternative Basic Combat Uniform (ABCU) may be worn by all personnel. The use of this uniform is mandatory for those of the ranks E1, E2, and E3 and an option for all others where it is substituted for another uniform.

Service Uniforms are issues to personnel above the rank of E4 as an alternative to the Basic Combat Uniform. To assist with identifying those of different rank groups, each group has a different uniform.

Command Uniforms are issued to personnel serving in a AS-5 (Deputy Director/Deputy Chief of Staff) position or above as well as the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force (CMSAF). All command uniforms must be worn using HC colors unless identified as Non-HC.

Section 4 - Ceremonial Uniforms 

Ceremony Uniforms are utilized for sanctioned special events hosted by and for the United States Air Force, which include but are not limited to: AFA Graduating Ceremonies, Parades, Townhalls, etc. 

These uniforms have a strict adherence policy, with no special exceptions to any rank or person.

 

The Ceremonial Uniforms have strict uniform and regulation requirements.

 

  • Garrison Caps or Combination Covers are required on all uniforms unless the personnel does not own either cover. 

  • Officer Candidates must wear the Combination Cover. 

  • Medals are allowed with Ceremony Uniforms.

  • Officer Candidates may not wear Medals with their AFA Ceremony Uniforms. 

  • No facial hair or facial accessories are allowed with the Ceremony Uniforms.

Section 2 - Medals

Personnel are authorised to wear their highest combat or non-combat medal on their uniforms, baring any restrictions stated by the specific uniform. The correct medal design and colors for Habbo can be found in Regulation 5. Medals and Decorations of the US Air Force.

 

Chapter 5 - Mottos

Section 1 - General Information

Personnel must wear their motto as displayed on the Personnel Tracking System (PTS) unless they hold an exemption as outlined below. All USAF mottos will start with a “USAF -”  followed by the person's rank, position, and TT Stack. Examples are provided below.

 

Air Force Senior Airman in no rating: USAF - SrA {ASD}

 

Air Force Technical Sergeant in AETC: USAF - TSgt/MTI {ADS}

 

Air Force Chief Warrant Officer 2 in AFPC Command: USAF - CWO2, XO PERS {2DS}

 

Section 2 - Exemptions

The following exemptions are in place, allowing for a deviation in a motto:

 

  • Commissioned Officers are authorized to display their rank in full.

  • Personnel with {5} as TT stack are not required to display it.

  • Enlisted (E1-E3) are authorized to display their rank in full.

  • Personnel on leave are authorized to put *OL* at the start of their motto.

 

Section 3 - TT Stack Condenser

The following TT stack has its equivalent condenser once obtained:

 

R + E + T  + M + Z = {1} 
{1} + B + I + J + N + U = {2} 
{2} + A + F + V + P + X + L  + H + S = {3} 
{3} + W + D = {4} 
{4} + 0 = {5}

 

Section 4 - Retired Personnel

 

Commissioned Officers who retire from USAF are authorized to display their old motto with the rank prefixed with “Ret.” or “Retired.”. If this is not displayed, they cannot access the USAF headquarters.
