CHAPTER 1 - STANDARD OF WORK
Section 1 - Purpose
The United States Air Force utilizes the Standard of Work (SoW) as an assessment mechanism to gauge the performance of its personnel on both weekly and monthly scales. While the USAF emphasizes that SoW should not overshadow real-world commitments, it does expect all personnel to strive for excellence in meeting these established standards. The SoW holds significant weight in determining the advancement opportunities, including promotions and appointments, for individuals within the USAF.
Section 2 - General Guidelines
SoW has guidelines that all personnel must adhere to. Failure to do so may result in consequences in accordance with Regulation 6 - Uniformed Code of Military Justice.
Subsection 2.1 - General SoW Requirement
Generally, personnel in MOS must meet a minimum of 20 points towards their SoW per week. It is mandatory to meet these requirements by Sunday of each week, no later than 11:59 pm EST. Those who are not in a MOS or on reserve duty are exempt from meeting the SoW requirements but may still do submit SoW where regulations allow.
Subsection 2.2 - SoW Requirement for Commissioned Officers
For Commissioned Officers in MOS, they are required to meet a minimum of 40 points towards their SoW per month. There is no set requirement to meet per week, but they will have to have achieved 40 points by the end of the SoW period (end of the month). Similarly, it is mandatory to meet these requirements by the last Sunday of the month, no later than 11:59 pm EST. Those who are not in a MOS or on reserve duty are exempt from meeting the SoW requirements but may still do submit SoW where regulations allow.
Subsection 2.3 - SoW Exemptions
Personnel in MOS who are not able to meet the required weekly SoW requirement may request for exemption for the week. However, there are guidelines to this:
Exemptions must be requested before the end of the week to the MOS CO+.
Exemptions can be requested via Discord message and/or forum message.
There are no limits to how many exemptions can be requested in a month.
While there are no limits to how many exemptions can be requested in a month, personnel should be aware that unnecessary exemptions or patterned behaviors in regards to SoW will affect their advancement opportunities as SoW is one of the aspects assessed for progression within USAF.
Subsection 2.4 - HQ Duties Guidelines
Headquarters (HQ) duties is one of the ways for personnel to get points for their SoW requirement. However, there are guidelines on it:
HQ Duties must be confirmed by one Officer (O1+) or two Chief Warrant Officers (CWOs).
All confirmations, regardless of the duties, must be made in 0.25 increments.
Personnel are recommended to save screenshots as evidence of filling a qualifying HQ duty. The screenshots must capture the following:
The start time at which you took up the HQ position;
The end time at which you stand down from the from the HQ position;
The chat history and your PC system clock.
If no personnel is available to confirm the duties in HQ, the screenshots can be posted in the #duty-confirmation channel on Discord server where available Commissioned Officers will confirm.
Subsection 2.5 - Office Duties Guidelines
Each MOS within the USAF has established specific MOS duties that earn SoW points. The MOS Director has the authority to set the SoW points for office duties, subject to approval from Senior Leadership Command (SLC). Additionally, Directors have the discretion to award bonus SoW points for office-related duties without prior approval from SLC. They also have the authority to grant exemptions or leave requests from office members. Furthermore, Directors reserve the right to remove members from their respective MOS if they repeatedly fail to meet SoW requirements without valid exemptions.
Members who fail to meet SoW requirements for any week without granted exemptions will be subject to punitive measures taken by the MOS CO+. For the first offense, a formal warning is given to the personnel. For the second offense, a demerit is issued. For the third offense, the personnel will be removed from the office.
First Offense |
Formal Warning |
Second Offense |
Issued Demerit |
Third Offense |
Removal from the Office |
Each offense will constitute a strike and each strike will be active for 30 days. If a personnel commits another offense within the 30 days period, it will stack on top of the existing strike(s). Accumulation of three active strikes will result in the removal from the MOS.
Subsection 2.6 - SoW Submission
All SoW points earned must be submitted in the Personnel Tracking System (PTS) for record purposes. The PTS has a dedicated space for SoW submission that can be accessed through this link: PTS SoW Submission.
Personnel must have a PTS account to be able to submit SoW points. Once a personnel reaches E4+ and has successfully joined an office, they will be given a PTS account. Details of the PTS account must not be shared with anyone.
Personnel should be aware that the Standard of Work (SoW) system does not allow for retroactive submissions. This means that points cannot be earned for previous weeks; all points accrued during a week must be submitted by the week's end.
The SoW Tracker, an automated tracking system, records SoW points and is overseen by Air Staff members. For HQ duties, any Commissioned Officer with a PTS account can approve submitted SoW points. However, for MOS Duties, only command members of the respective office have the authority to approve submitted points.
CHAPTER 2 - REMUNERATIONS
Section 1 - Standard of Work Pay
As a reward to personnel, SoW points are available to be converted into Habbo credits at a conversion rate of 10:2. This means for every 10 SoW points, personnel will be eligible for a payout of 2 Habbo credits.
All personnel who are eligible for payout will be paid by a member of the SLC. Personnel who did not claim their pay by the 14th of the following month will have their pay voided and will be rendered unavailable to receive their payout for the previous month.
